FC Shurtan have overcome FC Obod with a 2-1 victory ahead of FC Neftchi clash

Uzbekistan Oliy Liga side FC Obod seemed to find the financial problems which they faced after the first phase of the league and several players had to leave the club who was near to announce financial bankruptcy.

However, they resumed the training sessions ahead of the upcoming Oliy Liga matches, reports club’s media department on Saturday. FC Obod organized a friendly match against FC Shurtan in Tashkent yesterday afternoon.

Temur Tolipov opened the score for the hosts before Shahzod Khursanov and Eldor Boymatov took the lead for FC Shurtan from a 12-yard penalty spot by securing a 2-1 victory in the first match under the coaching of new head coach Edgar Gess.
