Ravshan Khaydarov has been appointed as head coach of U-22 Uzbekistan national team

Ravshan Khaydarov has been appointed as new coach of U-22 Uzbekistan national football team, reports Uzbekistan Football Federation.

The 55-year-old Uzbek coach has replaced Jasur Abduraimov who led this in 2016 AFC U-19 Championship which took place in Bahrain. After Jasur Abduraimov continued his career as a head coach in FC Pakhtakor, Uzbek youngsters will be coached by Ravshan Khaydarov.

Ravshan Khaydarov started his managing career at Traktor Tashkent first as assistant coach, later he became the main coach of the club. Before he was appointed as a head coach of Uzbekistan in 2002, Khaydarov was an assistant coach to Uzbekistan national team coach Vladimir Salkov.

Later in 2002, Khaydarov was acting head coach of Pakhtakor, replacing Tachmurad Agamuradov. After German international Hans-Jürgen Gede was sacked from his position, Khaydarov became an acting head coach of the national team. In 2005, Khaydarov left his temporary position of the trainer and replaced by Bobby Houghton.

In October 2008, Khaydarov resigned his position of FC Pakhtakor head coach and restarted his career in FC Pakhtakor again in 2010. A year later, Khaydarov has been replaced by Murod Ismailov who became a temporary caretaker of the club. In 2012, Khaydarov was appointed as a head coach of FC Kizilkum for a season and he resigned his position at the beginning of the new season when his side lost all 4 starting matches of 2013 season.

Two months later, he was appointed as caretaker manager of FK Dinamo before Uzbekistan Football Federation invited him as a new head coach of Uzbekistan U-19 to prepare the team for 2014 AFC U-19 Championship in Myanmar.

In 2015, he continued his managing career as an assistant coach to Samvel Babayan who is currently coaching Uzbekistan national team in 2018 World Cup – Asian Qualifiers.
