Uzbek boxers claim four gold, two silver and three bronze medals in the Shokir Bultekul Memorial
Uzbekistan national junior boxing team took part in the Shokir Bultekul Memorial Boxing Tournament in Aktau, Kazakhstan on October 4-7.
All the boxers representing Uzbekistan claimed medals at least, while four out of nine Uzbek boxers earned gold medals. Asian champions Elnur Abduraimov (64kg), Isroil Madrimov (75kg) Bahodir Jalolov (+91kg) and Mahmud Gaipov were the winners in their weight categories.
Otabek Kholmatov (56kg) and Madiyar Saidrahimov (81kg) lost in the final bouts, but he was awarded silver medals. However, 2016 Rio Olympic bronze medalist Murodjon Akhmadaliev (60kg), and 2017 Hamburg World Boxing Championships bronze medalist Sanjar Tursunov (91kg) and 2016 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships runner-up Mironshoh Ibrohimov (49kg) stopped their campaign in the semi-finals of the Shokir Bultekul Memorial Boxing Tournament.
