Uzbekistan's elite boxers have trained with England boxers together

The Uzbek team trains with the English squad near to their capital city in the mountains to prepare well to the upcoming main goals. All of the ten Uzbek boxers have already qualified for the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships during the ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships in Tashkent and their coaches began the first part of the preparation to the world’s event.

The English elite team has been preparing to their upcoming EUBC European Confederation Boxing Championships which will be held in Kharkiv, Ukraine in June 15-25 and will be their lone qualification event for the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships. The English team arrived with 15 boxers and 6 coaches to Uzbekistan to common training camp and sparring.

Among the best English boxers their Rio 2016 Olympian Galal Yafai (49kg), EUBC European Confederation U22 Boxing Championships silver medallist Peter McGrail (56kg), unbeaten WSB star Calum French (60kg), EUBC European U22 Champion Luke McCormack (64kg) and his twin brother Rio 2016 Olympian Pat McCormack (69kg) are also in the training camp in Uzbekistan.

The top Uzbek boxers including their Olympic medallists competed already in many AOB events, in the ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships and also in the Season VII of the World Series of Boxing in the first half of the year with great successes. Their nine gold medals in the ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships was a record in the history of the competition.

Hasanboy Dusmatov claimed gold medal at the light flyweight (49kg) in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and won also the Val Barker Trophy as the best boxer of the August’s event. The Uzbek miniman was continued his big things in 2017 and won the ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships in Tashkent.
