Uzbek chess players gain medals at the FIDE World Youth Rapid and Blitz Championships in Spain
Uzbekistan’s chess players took part in the FIDE World Youth Rapid and Blitz Championships (under 14, 16 and 18 years old categories) in Salobrena, Spain.
178 players from 22 countries, including 1 GM, 5 IMs, 12 FMs, 1 WIM, 12 WFMs participated in the chess forum in Granada.
After three days of intense battles, Uzbekistan’s Muhiddin Madaminov claimed a silver medal in rapid chess, while his compatriot Aziza Tursunova earned a bronze medal in blitz chess.
