Uzbekistan's athletes claim 11 medals at European Open Hand-To-Hand Championship

Uzbekistan’s athletes participated at the European Open Hand-To-Hand Championship in Minsk as they claimed 11 medals struggling nearly 200 athletes from 25 countries.

Shakhboz Tursunov and Olimjon Normurodov earned gold medals, while Zarina Olimjonova, Madina Ergashova, and Jahongir Jumaev gained silver medals as their compatriots Otabek Bobojonov, Muhiddin Mamajonov, Guljahon Normatova, Maftuna Kuvondikova, Shahnoza Nizomova and Robiya Kuchkorova were awarded bronze medals.

Officials, media representatives and a sea of fans hoisting national flags as they lined up at the Islam Karimov International Airport in Tashkent to receive winners.
