Will Juventus sign a new striker from Uzbekistan this winter?

Juventus are reportedly searching for another striker but are lacking options in the current market.

Calciomercato.com reports the Old Lady are desperate to add a new striker to the current squad at Continassa and have been linked with a host of names in recent weeks.

Former Bianconero Mario Mandzukic signed with Milan this month and the Old Lady were on the verge of signing both Arek Milik and Edin Dzeko last summer.

The former moved from Napoli to Marseille this month, whilst Dzeko’s future at the Giallorossi still seems uncertain and the path to Juventus could re-open.

Juventus have been linked with Gianluca Scamacca but haven’t reached an agreement with Sassuolo over the young Italian, who is currently on loan at Genoa.

Eldor Shomurodov has been mentioned as a possible target, but the report reveals Genoa President Enrico Preziosi is not willing to sell the Uzbekistan international this winter.

Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud has been linked with a move to Serie A in recent years and with one eye on Euro 2020, the French striker has been looking for regular playing time.

But Chelsea reportedly consider him as a key player at the Stamford Bridge, given Timo Werner’s struggles in his first season in England.

Sampdoria veteran Fabio Quagliarella quashed the rumours of a possible return to the Allianz Stadium too, as he pledged his future to the Blucerchiati.

Juventus signed Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid last summer and the Spanish forward showed early on that he will be an important asset for Andrea Pirlo, but the Bianconeri are hoping to bring in another striker to help out in a busy schedule, it’s just not sure where they will look.
