Uzbek Sambo Wrestler Wins Gold at the World Cup

The World Cup in Sport and Combat Sambo is currently taking place in Yerevan, Armenia. On the first day of the tournament, which features a prize fund of $196,000, competitions were held across 14 weight categories.

A’zam Rashidov, representing Uzbekistan in the -64 kg weight category, delivered a stellar performance. He defeated competitors from Russia, Georgia, and Turkmenistan before facing Zhandas Beisenbayev of Kazakhstan in the final match.

With a confident victory, Rashidov claimed the gold medal, proudly flying the Uzbek flag on the podium.
