Uzbekistan’s judokas already earn four medals in the IBSA World Judo Championships

The 15-strong Uzbekistan Judo team are taking part in the IBSA World Judo Championships includes Sherzod Namozov and Utkirbek Nigmatov have taken Paralympic, Asian and Asian Para Games titles and several World Cup wins.

In men’s 60kg and 66kg weight classes, Sherzod Namozov and Utkirjon Nigmatov claimed bronze medals respectively.

Feruz Saidov took no chances to his opponents as he was awarded a gold medal in men’s 73kg weight class.

Parvina Samandarov finished the tournament with a bronze medals in women’s 57kg weight category.

The Championships in Odivelas from 16-18 November 2018 is one of the first events on the IBSA Judo calendar that goes towards qualification for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
