Abdushukur Sobirjonov represents Uzbekistan at the Summer Youth Olympic Games 2018

For the first time in the history of Uzbekistan, Abdushukur Sobirjonov will represent the country at the Summer Youth Olympic Games 2018, which will be held October 6-18 in Argentinean Buenos Aires.

According to the information provided by the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, candidates for participation in the Youth Olympics are selected according to the results of the Challenges World Cup qualifying round. 78 athletes participated in the sixth rating zone - Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Qatar, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia in total this year.

All results of the competition are sent to the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), where the results are summed up. It is gratifying that Uzbekistan’s athlete has become the best of the participants. Sobirjonov passed the distance of the route without penalty points for 63.04 seconds and earned an opportunity to represent not only Uzbekistan but also the combined team of the Asian continent at the Youth Olympic Games.
