Our young hockey players had no equal at the World Championship

Our compatriots have successfully performed at the world championship among hockey players under 18 years old, held from February 28 to March 6 in the capital of Thailand - Bangkok.
Uzbekistan's national hockey team in Group “B” of Division III defeated the national team of South Africa 12:0, the national team of Luxembourg 12:1, the national team of Turkmenistan 8:2, the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina 11:3 and the national team of Thailand 3:2.

As a result, our hockey players, having shown a 100% result in their group, got the right to participate in Group “A” of Division III at the World U18 Championship next season.

Uzbekistan's captain Zhasurbek Rustamkhonov scored 22 points (14 goals + 8 assists) in 5 matches and was recognized as the best player of the tournament. 
For reference: in April this year Uzbekistan national team will debut at the World Championship in Armenia. Our hockey players will take part in the IV division.
