Uzbekistan have started their Istanbul training camp ahead of Asian Qualifiers matches

Uzbekistan national team started their Istanbul training camp in the framework of the preparation plan for Asian Qualifiers matches against China and South Korea, reports Uzbekistan Football Federation.

Samvel Babayan’s side arrived in Istanbul and conducted the first training sessions which will continue until July 13. The White Wolves will organize two friendly matches against the clubs from Persian Gulf League and Saudi Pro League during the seven-day-long training camp.

Marat Bikmaev, Islom Tukhtakhujaev, Doston Khamdamov, Rustam Ashurmatov and Jamshid Iskanderov haven’t been called up as they haven’t recovered because of injury.

Odil Ahmedov, Vitaliy Denisov, Vadim Afonin, Igor Krimets, Aziz Khaydarov and other players who play in foreign leagues will also attend Istanbul training camp as it will be organizing in non-FIFA days.

Uzbek side are barely holding on to the final automatic qualification spot with 12 points, sitting just one point behind on South Korea in the third place in Group A. With two matches remaining, Iran have already secured their World Cup spot with 20 points.
