Uzbek chess players take part in the 16th Delhi International Open Chess Tournament 2018

Uzbekistan’s chess players are participating in the 16th Delhi International Open Chess Tournament 2018 in New Delhi, Chess Federation of Uzbekistan reports.

The 16th Delhi International is a 10-round Swiss Open taking place from 9-16 January 2018 in the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, India. Players receive 90 minutes for the whole game, with a 30-second increment starting from move one.

264 participants from 24 countries in category A, 783 participants from 8 countries in category B, 942 participants from 9 countries in category C are taking part in the tournament. In category A, Samarkand-based international grandmaster Marat Jumaev and Tashkent-based international grandmaster Javohir Sindarov, and in the category C, Bekzod Mahramov are representing Uzbekistan.
