National Paralympic commitee of Uzbekistan: 34 Uzbekistan’s athletes qualified for the XVII Summer Paralympic Games

As previously reported, the XVII Summer Paralympic Games will be held in Paris from August 28 to September 8, 2024. Athletes from different countries continue to participate in qualifying tournaments.

The number of licenses for Uzbekistan para-athletes for the Paralympic Games has reached 34. In particular:

Four places won in shooting:

Server Ibragimov – pistol 10 m, 50 m

Shakhnoza Mamajonova – pistol 10 m, 50 m

Nineteen in athletics:

Asila Mirzayorova – long jump

Doniyor Saliyev – long jump

Boburjon Omonov – shot put

Izzat Turgunov – long jump

Khusniddin Norbekov – shot put

Kubaro Hakimova – shot put

Kudratullokhon Marufkhojayev – shot put

Nozimakhon Kayumova – javelin throw

Mohigul Khamdamova – discus throw

Yoqutkhon Kholbekova – long jump

Yorqin Odilov – javelin throw

Sofia Burkhanova – shot put

Tolibboy Yuldoshev – shot put

Elbek Sultonov – shot put

Nurkhon Kurbonova – shot put, javelin throw

Dilafruz Akhmadkhonova – shot put

Urganchbek Egamnazarov – long jump

Islam Aslanov – 100 and 50 m freestyle swimming

Two in canoeing:

One in cycling:

Team race – road

Five in taekwondo:

Guljanoy Naimova – 60 kg

Ziyodakhon Isakova – 47 kg

Zukhriddin Tokhirov – 63 kg

Javokhir Alikulov – 70 kg

Asadbek Toshtemirov – 80 kg.

Qualifying tournaments for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games are currently taking place in athletics, judo, aquatics, and powerlifting, and the above numbers will change.

Fifty-five Uzbekistan’s athletes were qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games in 8 sports.
