Uzbekistan’s FC Bunyodkor lost three matches of Group C in a row in 2017 AFC Champions League. Today they hosted Iranian side Zob Ahan FC in the third matchday of the competition.
Both teams started the game with a low game phase by paying attention to defense and using counter-attacks. And, the opening goal was scored in 55th minute of the game after Javlon Mirabdullaev made so awful mistake to stop the ball where Jerry Bengston had a one-and-one opportunity to break the deadlock.
Eight minutes later Serbian striker Vadim Cemirtan was shown a direct red card and FC Bunyodkor had to continue the match without him. Sergey Lushchan tried to change the directions using all three substitutions but none of them performed well on the pitch.
In injury minutes, Morteza Tabrizi earned penalty-kick after Alisher Sanoev stopped him with a foul. And, 26-year-old striker converted the ball from 10-yard penalty spot easily.
