Breaking News. FC Obod Tashkent dismissed from Uzbekistan Oliy Liga

Tashkent-based football club FC Obod has been booted out of the Uzbekistan Oliy Liga for failing to meet the rules of the Club Competition Regulations (Article 4.4) the following decisions made by UzPFL Executive Committee on October 5, 2017.

FC Obod was welcomed by football fans as the ‘Uzbek Leicester’ after they showed a good piece football in their debut in Oliy Liga.  However, their campaign was ended with poor results as they finished the season in the 14th place, but they managed to survive in the league.

Starting from this season, it was shown that the club were facing financial problems and rumours spread FC Obod were likely to leave the league the following financial problems after the first phase of the Oliy Liga. But, they started the second phase with a new coach from Ukraine after Rauf Iniliev resigned from his position and found a new job at youth football academy.

At the end of the story, FC Obod has been dismissed from the league, their all goals scored-conceded in the last eight matches have been cancelled and the technical victories shall be given to their opponent teams in the last seven matches of the league. The players of the club have rights to join other clubs as free agents according to the Club Competition Regulations.
