Hector Cuper: Too early to evaluate my work since I’m not a magician

A newly appointed head coach Hector Cuper will make his debut in the Central Asian side in Tashkent.

Ahead of the crucial match, the 62-year-old Argentinian talks to the media in the press conference.

“Three days were needed for induction with a new team. It was not easy to adopt a totally new team because of different mentality, cultures and languages, as well. Now, I can recognize all players and their name. It seemed they are good natured and I’m quite well with their behaviors and dealings with the coaching staff. They are trying to show off themselves in training sessions. But I don’t know whether it’s natural or not since time shows it.”

“Few players joined the camp yesterday, while we are still waiting for other two players who are playing in Korea. We reviewed opponent’s previous matches as we decided to choose tactics and formation for tomorrow's match. I believed that their techniques are well enough. However, it’s too early to say we can show whether offensive or defensive football in the upcoming matches.”

“Of course, tomorrow’s result doesn’t evaluate how I prepare team for this match and how I choose appropriate tactics and formation. Even we score more goals and claim a big victory tomorrow, it shouldn’t be assumed that all of them are made because of me. I’m not a magician.”
