The 37th season of the AFC Champions League is set to kick off in Tashkent as FC Lokomotiv welcome Al Wahda FC of UAE to the Lokomotiv Stadium on Monday.
The Railwaymen’s boss Andrey Miklyaev talked to the media ahead of the Al Wahda clash.
“FC Lokomotiv prepared for this season well enough as we organized several training camps in Tashkent, Dubai and Turkey."
"We showed a good performance in friendly matches, while we made a 2-0 win over Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen FC.”
“We have improved our side with foreign and local new players, such Brazilian Nivaldo, Sardor Rashidov from Al Jazira joined to our side.”
“Opponents came to Tashkent without their four key players, but it’s not important for us. We should think about our players’ conditions and our tactics should be applied in tomorrow’s match.”
