FC Shurtan head coach Edgar Gess has resigned just six days later after he was appointed

Russian-German football coach Edgar Gess has resigned from his position in Uzbekistan Oliy Liga club FC Shurtan six days later as he was appointed.

He was also the head coach of the White Wolves in 2009-2011. During this time, the club finished 4th in the 2010 season and the team reached the Uzbek Cup final, losing 0–1 to Bunyodkor.

On 30 June 2011, he was sacked and Tachmurad Agamuradov was named as the new coach of FC Shurtan. In July 2012, Gess was appointed as head coach of Shurtan again, after Igor Kriushenko was sacked. On 15 May 2013, he was sacked again and he was hired as their new manager of FC Bukhara, replacing Tachmurad Agamuradov in this position.
