FC Pakhtakor coach Pieter Huistra talked to the media in the pre-match press confrence ahead of Sharjah clash in AFC Champions League Matchday Four.
"We are halfway through the tournament, so we are going into the important games now, especially for us as we didn’t get enough points in the first three games. The players know this. We tried to learn from the first game against Sharjah. We will have to be ready to do things a bit differently," said Huistra.
"We learned and we should do better results-wise. We didn’t play so bad in the first two games, but defensively we have to improve."
"I have a lot of confidence in my players. Defence is not only played by the defenders, it is played by the whole team. We take some risks and even when we lost 4-1 to Sharjah, we had 70% possession
"We have to be more effective with our possession, we created chances but we have to create better quality of chances. That is our task and that is what we have to do and also not let Sharjah score too easily.”
