Oliy Liga. FC Neftchi have shared the points with FC Shurtan at the Istiklol Stadium

FC Neftchi have continued their unsuccessful run as they shared the points with FC Shurtan in their Oliy Liga match on Saturday evening.

The home crowd hoped a victorious start by the hosts in the opening game of the league’s second phase as a birthday gift for their head coach Vadim Abramov who turned his 55 years yesterday.

Laziz Ubaydullaev broke the hearts of the FC Fergana fans by breaking the deadlock after a 62-minute goalless draw. However, Muydin Mamazulumov returned the hopes by equalizing the scoring just six minutes later.

But, the birthday celebration was cancelled out after Muzaffar Muzaffarov failed to score a winning goal for FC Neftchi from a 12-yard penalty spot in the second half injury minutes.
