According to the SPORTS.kz, Iranian club did not fulfill the terms of the contract signed with the 36-year-old player.
According to Iranian media, he was on the verge of a return to the Esteghlal club in the January transfer window. But he agreed the deal with Uzbekistan Super League side FC Metallurg last month.
Djeparov joined Esteghlal in 2017, however his internal contract could not be registered with Esteghlal due to a FIFA imposed transfer ban. Later he joined Sepahan on loan until the end of the season.
Last season, Djeparov was a key player of Esteghlal and helped the team win Iran’s Hazfi Cup. Djeparov was also named Persian Gulf Pro League top assister of the Year at the end of the season.
