The ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships will be starting in Bangkok tomorrow and the Uzbek team is ready to continue their winning series in Thailand. Uzbekistan’s 10-strong youth team contains AIBA Junior World Champion Bilolbek Mirzarakhimov who is the titleholder in the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships as well.
Uzbekistan claimed three gold medals in the last edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Pavlodar and their head coach is planning to repeat at least the same performance in Bangkok. Among their last year’s squad only one boxer, Bilolbek Mirzarakhimov remained in the youth team. At Light Welterweight, Mirzarakhimov will start his participation with a bout against Tan Jun Velvan from Singapore in the Preliminaries on Sunday evening.
Uzbekistan’s Samandar Kholmurodov will contest with Iraqi Mohammed Zuhairi for the place at the quarter-finals at Light Flyweight as his compatriot Abdumalik Khalokov will square off against Thai Khitwanna Niwat at Flyweight.
Uzbek boxers will begin their ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships campaign as follows.
