The second fight between Israil Madrimov and Michel Soro ended in disappointment for the fans and Madrimov

WBA super welterweight world title eliminator fight and the rematch between Israil Madrimov and Michel Soro ended in a disappointing three-round technical draw at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday.

At the beginning of the third round, Soro essentially headbutted Madrimov himself and earned a serious cut. The blood was stopped, but the doctor decided that Soro would not be able to continue the fight. Surprisingly, Michel didn't protest.

Interestingly, ex-world heavyweight champion Tony Bellew, who is in the studio, expressed surprise that Soro was not allowed to continue the fight, because the blood was stopped.

Official result: Technical draw.

Promoter Eddie Hearn said that a third fight should have been scheduled, but Madrimov would likely take a different route. Hearn noted that Madrimov fought confidently and he is a boxer of a high enough level to fight for the world title with Jermell Charlo.
