Perth Glory are set to be dealt a major blow ahead of the new A-League season, with captain Rostyn Griffiths to secure a move to Uzbekistan, reports Daily Football Show on Monday.
Daily Football Show understands the 29-year-old will move to an undisclosed club in the central Asian nation, leaving a huge hole to fill in Glory’s midfield.
Griffiths signed a two-year deal when he returned to Glory from Roda JC in July 2016 but appears ready to depart one year before its conclusion.
Glory did not comment when contacted by the Daily Football Show.
Glory have added two new players so far this offseason, defender Jacob Poscoliero and midfielder Mitch Nichols.
Perth face NPL Victoria side Heidelberg United in the FFA Cup round of 32 at Olympic Village on Tuesday night.
