Uzbek boxers in the semifinals of World Cup of the Petroleum Countries 2016

The Boxing World Cup is being held among boxers from 20 Petroleum Countries in Russian Federation.

World class boxers are competing to claim gold medals in the 14th World Cup of Petroleum Countries 2016. Similarly, Uzbekistan Boxing Team is also participating in the tournament with its tactically and physically strong members seeking the gold medals.

Particularly five boxers representing Uzbekistan took the opportunity to square-off in the semi-final bouts in their weight divisions.

In their way to semi-finals, Mirazbek Mirzakhalilov eliminated Kazakhstan's Asilkhan Uzokboev and Azerbaijan's Umid Rustamov at Bantamweight class (56 kg).

At Welterweight class (69 kg), Ikboljon Kholdorov defeated his opponents, Vazgen Safaryants from Belarus and host country team member, Bekmirza Ilyasov in his way to secure a medal at least.

Similarly, Mironshoh Ibrohimov beat another boxer Azerbaijan's boxer, Araz Imomaliev as Isroil Madrimov won over Moldovian Viktor Korobtseskiy in quarterfinals.

Finally, Ulugbek Mubinov managed to get the ticket of semifinals of the championship after his victory over Latvia's Alexandas Baranovas.
