Uzbekistan secured a 1-0 victory over Saudi Al Taawoun FC in a friendly match

Uzbekistan national team are finalizing their Istanbul training camp which is organized in the framework of the preparation plan for Asian Qualifiers matches against China and South Korea, reports Uzbekistan Football Federation.

Samvel Babayan’s side played against Saudi Pro League side Al Taawoun FC after they suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat in a friendly match against Zob Ahan CSC on Wednesday.

Igor Sergeev’s only goal earned a 1-0 victory for the White Wolves over Saudi side in their last friendly match in Turkey.

Uzbek side are barely holding on to the final automatic World Cup qualification spot with 12 points, sitting just one point behind on South Korea in the third place in Group A. With two matches remaining, Iran have already secured their World Cup spot with 20 points.
