Uzbekistan set to face off against Georgia in international friendly

Uzbekistan National Team will conduct training sessions in the United Arab Emirates at the beginning of the next year.

During the sessions will be held January 21-24, Uzbekistan and Georgia will face off in the international friendly match as a preparation of the next fixtures of Qualification Round of 2018 World Cup Russia.

The match will be organized on January 23 after the confirmation of both sides, reports the official website of Uzbekistan Football Federation.

A couple of weeks, it was announced that Armenia confirmed the request sent by Uzbekistan Football Federation asking international friendly match with Uzbekistan national team on February 12.

Currently, Georgia is participating in European Qualifiers for 2018 World Cup Russia and garnered only two points among five other teams and securing the fifth in the Group D.

Samvel Babayan's army is also taking part in Asian Qualifiers for 2018 World Cup taking the 3rd place of Group A with nine points behind I.R. Iran and South Korea teams. Uzbekistan will continue on the qualification campaign with the game against Syria away on March 23, 2017.
