
Uzbekistan's Sanjar Tursunov earns silver medal in the World Cup of Petroleum Countries
Uzbekistan’s boxers have been finished their participation in the International Tournament World Cup of Petroleum Countries was held in Beloyarsky, Russia on November 22-26.
Bronze medallist in 2017 AIBA World Championship Sanjar Tursunov advanced to the final bout of the World Cup of Petroleum Countries as he was awarded walkover victory against Sergeey Korneev from Russia in the semi-finals. Tursunov lost his opportunity to earn a gold medal after Vasiliy Zveryan registered a win by split decision over Uzbek boxer.
So far, Uzbekistan’s Hasanboy Dusmatov reached the final bout and claimed a gold medal, while his compatriots Isroil Madrimov and Ikboljon Kholdorov gained silver medals in this tournament.
