Elena Smolyanova claims gold medal in 2018 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships

Uzbekistan’s athletes are continuing their victorious participation in the eighth edition of the 2018 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in Tehran.

After Nadiya Dusanova claimed gold medal in High jump division, her compatriot Elena Smolyanova was named as gold medalist in Shot put division at the Aftab Enghelab Complex on Friday.

Elena Smolyanova of Uzbekistan was the first with 15.54 points, while Iranian Maryam Nouroozi and Sana Dadres earned silver and bronze medals with 12.47 and 11.46 points respectively.
