Georgy Agzamov Memorial Chess Tournament is started in Tashkent

The 12th International Chess Tournament for the memory of Soviet Chess Grandmaster Georgy Agzamov was started in Tashkent yesterday.

About 180 chess players from Armenia, Spain, Iran, Belorussia, Belgium, Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan are taking part in the tournament. The prize fund of the competition is $ 20,000. Games are divided into two groups - "A" and "B".
