Oliy Liga. FC Almalyk have won FC Pakhtakor with a 2-0 victory

Fourth-place FC Almalyk welcomed eighth-place FC Pakhtakor to the Almalyk Central Stadium in the Uzbekistan Oliy Liga on Thursday evening.

Both teams had opportunities to score in what was an open first 45 minutes, but neither could make the breakthrough.

But, Viktor Kumikov’s side opened the scoring through Rahmatullo Berdimurodov just before the hour mark. Igor Jelic extended Almalyk's lead to ensure that they strengthened their bid for the AFC Champions League place while leaving FC Kokand-1912 still one point adrift of safety.
