Tashkent will host the 2017 Asian Youth Chess Championship and Asian Youth Rapid and Blitz Championships
The Uzbekistan Chess Federation (UCF), under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation (ACF) has the honour to invite all Asian national chess federations to participate in the 2017 Asian Youth Chess Championship and Asian Youth Rapid and Blitz Championships, which will be held in Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan, from 31st March (arrival) till 10th April (departure) 2017, reports ChessDom.
The tournament will be played using the Swiss System with 9 rounds. The rate of play will be: 90 minutes for the whole game with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move one.
Time Control for Blitz 3′+2” and 9 rounds.
Time Control for Rapid Play 15′+10” and 7 Rounds. Where there are not enough players, the organizers have right to merge sections.
Entitled player must not have reached his/her birthday, respectively, before January 1st, 2017:
Under 8: Born on or after 1st January 2009
Under 10: Born on or after 1st January 2007
Under 12: Born on or after 1st January 2005
Under 14: Born on or after 1st January 2003
Under 16: Born on or after 1st January 2001
Under 18: Born on or after 1st January 1999
