Uzbekistan School Children Chess Championship starts in Tashkent

Uzbekistan School Children Chess Championship launched at the Republican Specialized Children's and Youth School on Chess on April 10.

The Minister of Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Inoyatov Ulugbek Ilyasovich addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech. He noted that the Ministry of Public Education is constantly working to promote healthy lifestyle for students, encourages them in sports, supports gifted students, creates necessary conditions for regular sports and in particular, chess.

More than 200 school children up to 7,9,11,13,15,17 years from different regions of the country competed in the 9 rounds on the Swiss system, on the basis of which the first champions were determined.
