Uzbekistan start CAFA U-16 Championship campaign with a stunning victory

2018 Central Asian Football Association U-16 Championship was launched in Tashkent with an opener between the hosts, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan at the National Stadium today.

Afghanistan took an early lead through Sardor Abdurashidkhojev’s own goal just 8 minutes after the kick-off. However, equaliser Temur Mamasiddikov put the sides on level from a close range into the left-bottom corner.

Igor Chikrizov gave the lead for the White Wolves with a powerful shot inside the box before Temur Mamasiddikov added his second two minutes to the half-time. After the restart, Uzbekistan dominated for another 45-minute period in possession as they ended the match with a stunning long-range goal from Husain Norchaev.
