In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from April 7, 2023 № 114 “On measures on effective organization of state management in the sphere of youth policy and sports in the framework of administrative reforms” annually awarded one-time cash prizes to athletes who won prizes at world championships among juniors, youth and adults in Olympic and Paralympic sports, as well as their mentors. Today in the capital's museum of “Olympic and Paralympic glory” were awarded our young athletes and their coaches, who this year worthily defended the honor of the country at the world championships and took prizes.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shahrullo Mahmudov, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee Oybek Kasimov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Sports Bakhodir Makhsitov, young athletes and their coaches. Speaking at the beginning of the ceremony, the officials congratulated the athletes, who are the future of Uzbek sports, and wished them to achieve the same success at the world adult championships and Olympic Games.

After that, 45 young athletes who have reached the podium at the world championships, as well as their coaches, were presented with certificates of cash prizes. According to the Presidential Decree, the gold, silver and bronze medalists were awarded 3500, 1750 and 875 US dollars respectively, and their coaches were awarded 2000, 1000 and 500 US dollars each.
