Azizbek Mirzayev: "we couldn't show our potential in the first match"

The captain of the Uzbekistan U-17 national team, Lazizbek Mirzayev, answered journalists' questions before the match against Spain.

"We managed to participate in two matches at the World Cup. You know they ended up with two different results. However, in the first game we failed to demonstrate our potential. It's safe to say that it wasn't our game. We tried to create more opportunities by showing our best side in the match against Canada.

- What was the main factor in the victory over Canada ?
- We analyzed the mistakes we made after the first game. We worked with our coaches on our shortcomings and tried to show our game at the match. This is football, everything happens. The opponent also played well, but we realized our chances for a goal and won.

- About the match against Spain
- Tomorrow we have an important match against Spain. We are preparing for this meeting in every possible way, both mentally and physically. I think we have enough motivation. Tomorrow, if we are lucky, we want to win and decide on a ticket to the next round," Mirzayev said.
