Babanov lost in the finals, however...

In the Mongolian city of Ulaanbaatar, judo competitions in the “Grand Slam” category are coming to an end. A little earlier, in the -90 kg weight category, our compatriot Davlat Babanov won a silver medal.

Babanov took to the tatami against Russian Mikhail Igolnikov in the final. An interesting duel ended with the victory of the champion of the 2014 Youth Olympics Igolnikov. Thus, our athlete is gaining 700 points for the world ranking, and on the way to Paris-2024-350. More importantly, this result will make our athlete the leader in this weight in the world ranking, which will be published next week.
