Diyor Imomkhodzhaev: "Now there will be a fair fight for the 3rd place in the Super League"

The Asian Football Confederation has received explanations from the associations of the member countries of the organization regarding the number of clubs that will participate in the prestigious club tournament of the continent - the Asian Champions League during the 2023 season.

UZPFL Director Diyor Imamkhodjaev commented on this situation: "AFC has announced the number of quotas for the Champions League and AFC Cup for the 2023 season. According to him, Uzbekistan has won 2+2 vouchers. We will not participate in the AFC Cup from 2023.

In the western region, now only Saudi Arabia and Iran are ahead of us in terms of the number of quotas. We have caught up with Qatar, the UAE has started to lag behind us.

Note. Now there is a fair fight for the 3rd place in the Super League. If the winner of the Super League and the Cup is one club, then the fourth Super League team will also have the opportunity to play on the international stage."
