FC Nasaf President: Next year we will come back stronger. Because we are FC Nasaf, and our team has no equal

Today, the Uzbekistan Super League has come to an end. Tashkent Pakhtakor has won the championship 15 times in its history, and Navbakhor has won silver medals. And the team of Karshi "Nasaf" won the bronze medal, scoring 49 points. After the end of the season, the president of the Dragons, Shukhrat Aslanov, spoke about the successful season of the Karshi club.

"The 2022 football season was full of unforgettable and victorious moments for Kashkadarya football.

At the beginning of the season, our favorite team “Nasaf” beat the team from Abu Dhabi “Baniyas” in the playoffs of the ACL, winning a ticket to the group stage. Even in the group stage matches hosted by Saudi Arabia, the “dragons” adequately defended the honor of our country. Having put up a worthy resistance to the famous Asian teams “As-Sadd” (Qatar), “Al-Faisali” (Saudi Arabia), “Al-Wehdat” (Jordan), the team won a ticket to the playoffs for the first time in its history. Thanks to the excellent performance of our team in international arenas, the teams of Uzbekistan received a quota in 2023-2024 in the 2+2 format.

Our guys, who performed well in the international arena, also pleased everyone at the competitions of the Uzbek Super League and the Uzbek Cup. In the final of the Uzbek Cup, which took place in Bukhara, our favorite team lost to Navbahor with a score of 2:1 and won the Uzbek Cup for the third time in its history, guaranteeing the group stage of the 2023 World Cup. The team fought for the championship until the last round of the Super League and eventually won bronze medals for the eleventh time.

8 players of the Nasaf team were also invited to the national team of Uzbekistan under the leadership of head coach Srechko Katanes. It is gratifying that among the invited there are 2 more pupils of the football school “Nasaf". In addition, pupils of Nasafa and Sevincha are involved in the teams of other age categories. It is also a sign that we are on the right track.

The women's team FC Sevinch also returned to its “throne” after a short break. Our girls won the championship and the Cup of Uzbekistan in the women's championship and made a golden “double”. They will also participate in the Asian Women's Champions League tournament next season.

Three of the four trophies in major men's and women's football tournaments have been contested. We can say that this is a great achievement for the football of our region.

For the successes achieved, I express my gratitude to the coaches and players of the Nasaf and Sevinch teams, the leadership of the khokimiyat of Kashkadarya region and Uzbekneftegaz JSC, who provided practical assistance in achieving these grandiose victories.
