Hasanboy Dusmatov's plans have changed. He is willing to compete in the Paris Olympics

As you know, the national team of Uzbekistan successfully participated in the Stranja tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria, winning 6 gold and one bronze medal, and took first place in the medal standings by countries. 

Exactly, one of the gold medals was presented to the Uzbek delegation by the champion of the Rio Olympics Hasanboy Dusmatov, who participated in the weight category -51 kg. 

We contacted the boxer who arrived in Uzbekistan talked about that tournament and future plans.

- First of all, I am glad that we have fulfilled the expressed confidence. In my opinion, I can say that the confidence of coaches has increased. Of course, the Stranja tournament is like a small world championship. All national teams attracted young talents and a strong team. even the national teams of Russia and Kazakhstan participated with 2 teams.

-I can say that all the battles were difficult. It was my first fight with all my opponents. I think I was able to overcome them with experience. Most importantly, I tried myself. After this tournament, my intentions changed. In other words, my goal is to participate in the upcoming Asian Games, the Asian Championship, the World Championship and the Paris Olympics.

Of course, if the coaches believe, these intentions of mine can come true. The reason is that a new weight of 51 kg will be added to the Olympics. Fights are expected in -51 kg, not -52 kg. Undoubtedly, I feel a little free in this weight category. If this is not possible, I will focus on professional boxing. In general, I want to take both at the same time. They fight twice a year in professional boxing, and I hope that I will prove myself in this direction and make everyone happy.
