Barcelona are unable to agree a fee with Chelsea for the transfer of Spanish defender Marcos Alonso.

The Catalans will not be able to pay the "aristocrats" due to the financial crisis at the club.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the player's agent Fali Ramada is currently in London and wants to persuade Chelsea officials to release Alonso at a lower price.

Marcos Alonso himself has stated that he wants to return to Spain several times during the season, and the club's management is aware of this.

Alonso is actually a Real player. He has made just one official appearance for the Royals.
