Matchday Two #ACL2020: The Week In Numbers

The Continental competition will now take a two-week break ahead of Matchday Three in early March, before which the-AFC.com looks back at the stats and facts that stood out in the week that was.

14 – Jaloliddin Masharipov created two goals, had a hand in another and delivered 14 passes into the area as Pakhtakor saw off Shahr Khodro 3-0. 

17 – Perfect build-up play led to Vissel Kobe’s late winner against Suwon Samsung Bluewings, with 17 passes culminating in Kyogo Furuhashi’s goal. 

7 – Hassan Al Haydos was one of seven players to score a brace last week, with his double helping Al Sadd to a 3-0 win over Sepahan.

8 – Another player who bagged two goals was Ali Alipour, although the Persepolis striker also committed a weekly high eight fouls.

123 – The tournament high number of touches by Takahiro Ohgihara in Yokohama F. Marinos’ 4-0 victory over Sydney FC.

7 – Jonathan Viera created a matchday high seven chances and set up his side’s only goal in Beijing FC’s 1-0 win over Chiangrai United.

8 – Beijing could, however, have won by more goals had it not been for Chiangrai's Apirak Worawong, who made a competition high eight saves.

27 – Al Shorta sent a tournament high number of crosses into the opposition penalty area yet there was no end product as they lost 1-0 to Al Wahda.
