NOC of Uzbekistan signed 4 memorandums of cooperation on a new way of development

An excursion was organized for the guests in our committee. During the mini-tour, the forum participants were told about the activities of our committee and the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine at the NOC, about the history of Uzbek sports.

Then, as a practical conclusion of discussions on further development of cooperation, memoranda were signed with the NOC of Belarus, Azerbaijan, Lithuania and the Olympic Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The event was held by the Secretary General of the NOC of Uzbekistan Oybek Kasimov. Chairman of the NOC of Uzbekistan Rustam Shoabdurakhmanov, Secretary General of the NOC of Azerbaijan Azer Aliyev, President of the NOC of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko, President of the NOC of Lithuania Daina Gudzinevichute and representative of the Olympic Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Bariev took part in the preparation for a new stage of cooperation on behalf of our country.

In conclusion, Rustam Shoabdurakhmanov highlighted the importance of this cooperation.

“First of all, we would like to emphasize once again that we are glad to see all of you at such an important event in our native capital. The Tokyo Olympics showed that, despite the pandemic, the whole world continues to grow in the sports direction. These partnership projects are important for further strengthening our ties in the future”" the head of the NOC of Uzbekistan said.

After that, the participants traditionally exchanged gifts.

With this, the official part of the regional forum of heads of NOCs of the CIS, Baltic States and Georgia has completed its work. Tomorrow, the guests will go on a trip to the ancient city of Samarkand and get even deeper acquainted with our rich history and culture.
