Our compatriot recognized as the best sambo referee of 2024

The FIAS award “Porcelain Whistle” was presented to the best referee of 2024 within the framework of the World Sambo Championship in the capital of Kazakhstan.
Islam Odilov, chairman of the refereeing board of the Sambo Federation of Uzbekistan, became the winner of this award by the decision of the technical commission of the International Sambo Federation.

The award was presented to our compatriot by the Executive Director of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS) Sergey Tabakov. Islam Odilov's rich experience as a referee and chief referee of a huge number of international competitions of the highest level was emphasized. Over the years, Odilov has consistently confirmed his professionalism, as well as enjoys great authority in the referee corps.

It is worth noting that the FIAS Porcelain Whistle is awarded to the best referee annually since 2021. The award is made by special order of the International Sambo Federation and is presented to specialists for their outstanding contribution to the development of sambo.
