Ryosuke Iwasa: I wanted to be given a little bit time to fight
On April 3, in the main fight of the boxing night at the magnificent Humo Arena in Tashkent, Uzbek fighter Murodjon Akhmadaliev fought against mandatory contender Ryosuke Iwasa of Japan and won in the 5th round by technical knockout. Iwasa shared some of his thoughts after the fight on his Instagram page.
- Uzbek boxers took part in the competition wonderfully.
It was obvious that the visiting fans respected both sides equally. I was applauded and admired enough. When I lost, I could hear fans shouting "Respect" at me. I can say that I did not feel that I was fighting in the guest. Through this, I was able to feel a very warm feeling, and it was a great relief to me. It was good that I fought in Uzbekistan. The Uzbek people are grateful to me, thank you all. Thank you very much.
At the same time, I apologize to all those who supported me in Japan for not being able to note the result you hoped for.
You would think that there would be more heroes after the war, but to be honest, I wanted to be given a little more time to fight. Of course, I admit that in the 5th round I lost my consciousness by his punching ...
In any case, Murodjon had a wonderful fight.
Thanks again to everyone.
Sincerely,
Iwasa Ryosuke
