Shohjahon Ergashev may face Subriel Matias next in the ring for the world championship belt (photo)

Super lightweight contender Shohjahon Ergashev, who is ranked 3rd in the IBF category of professional boxing, may fight for the world championship belt. 

The current IBF belt holder in this weight category is Puerto Rico's Subriel Matias. 

During a rerun of one of Matias' previous bouts on ESPN KNOCK OUT, it was revealed that his next fight is set and that he will be defending his belt against Shohjahon Ergashev. 

This news has not been officially announced yet. Earlier, Matias himself announced that he will fight against the former world champion.
