Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez has become a River Plate player as expected. This was reported by ESPN journalist Christian Martin.

The 35-year-old Uruguayan, who has played for Atletico for the past two seasons, has had his contract with Atletico expired and has therefore moved to the Argentine club as a free agent.

Suarez made 35 La Liga appearances for Atletico last season, scoring 11 goals and authorizing two assists.
