Tashkent Tiger: legendary Uzbek boxer Rufat Riskiev celebrates his 72nd birthday

The legend of Uzbek and world boxing, known as the "Tashkent Tiger", Rufat Riskiev has turned 72 years old, the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan reports.

Rufat Asadovich Riskiev was born in 1949 on October 2 in the city of Okkurgan, Tashkent region. In 1974, he became the first Uzbek boxer to win the World Championship. In 1976, he became a finalist at the Olympic Games in Montreal (Canada)
