The Spanish specialist has started working at the Super League club

Earlier we reported that the assistant head coach of PFC Metallurg, Luisma Hernandez for physical training, Alberto Barrical, left for his homeland for family reasons. A few days ago, another Spanish specialist from the Pirin Islands arrived in Bekabad.

According to the club's press service, Doctor of Philosophy Roberto Ovejero, specializing in physical activity and sports, is now responsible for the physical training of the team's players.

For reference, Roberto Ovejero is 48 years old, was born on September 2, 1974. From 1993 to 1998 he studied at the Faculty of Physical Culture of the Madrid Polytechnic University. Master of Sports in football and gymnastics.

He started his career in swimming. In the period from 1995 to 2015, he worked as a teacher at the School of coaching at the Madrid Football Federation. From 2013 to 2016, he taught students at the European University in Madrid specializing in sports physiotherapy. In 2019-2021, he worked at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. It was at this institute that he defended his doctoral dissertation. In 2015, he received a UEFA Category A coach's license for physical training.
